SOBEL HAN, LLP, after a 3-day trial, obtained a dismissal of plaintiff’s complaint against our client as a matter of law due to the parties’ course of conduct and prior business relationship.

SOBEL HAN, LLP, on behalf of our client with significant real estate holdings in the State of New Jersey with fines in excess of several hundred thousand dollars, obtained a global settlement for less than $10,000.00.

SOBEL HAN, LLP successfully defended a motion for summary judgment filed by defendants’ counsel on the grounds of statute of limitations. The court concluded that plaintiffs’ counsel timely amended the complaint and took reasonable diligence in attempting to serve the proper party and that defendant suffered no prejudice.

SOBEL HAN, LLP successfully obtained a judgment on behalf of a client as a result of a failed business dealing in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York.

SOBEL HAN, LLP successfully obtained a variance on behalf of a client to increase the number of units in an existing complex and thereby increasing the rent roll with minimal additional parking requirements.

SOBEL HAN, LLP successfully resolved an action brought against a prominent landlord in Essex County by the Office of the Attorney General, Division on Civil Rights, alleging unlawful discriminatory rental practices and fair housing violations.

SOBEL HAN, LLP successfully obtained a settlement a week prior to the trial date against a landlord of a luxury condominium who charged above and beyond the municipality’s legal limit. We successfully defended the landlord’s Action in Lieu of Prerogative Writs and was able to proceed on our claim by opposing the landlord’s motion to consolidate with the pending appeal. The settlement brought closure to our client and resolved the matter while minimizing legal fees by avoiding trial.
